Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with music and lyrics by Steven Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler is presented as a reimagining of the classic musical that unfolds like a modern true crime documentary, exploring the psychological impact of violence on our culture and how society consumes and glorifies these narratives. The lighting design of this production heightens the drama and defines the locations, seamlessly shifting between bleak drabness and horrifying tension.
